  15. Hi Thanks for the reply....16x6 seems about the norm on Saito 120 its for my Georgia Peach OS 91 is OK , but, really needs more grunt for a large loop, which is were the TT 130 comes in.   Just found that wooden props are £8 as opposed to £14/15 for APC!!    Edited By Peter Smedley on 21/07/2011 15:10:37
  16. Hi All Just doing some research on a TT F-130S. Anybody know, please, what would suit the 130 four stroke- an APC 16X6?? by any chance..... as you all might know APC props of this size are expensive when it comes to trail and error so I want to get it more or less good first time.   Thanks
  17. Well I shall not be going to the show at Shepton Mallet next year. OK, I know it is not an exclusive rc air show and the wind did not help but really, £10 entry fee and 2-3 trade rc stands out side at the very top of the site and only three halls occupied..... Got round it all in 90mins. Congratulations to Steve Carr on putting on a great display
  18. Will give rowena a call and Falcon, thanks to all concerned. The make of the engine is unknown I suspect it was one you make as a unfinished kit - if there is such a thing- so a little more research is needed. Thanks again.

  21. Adrian....Gladly mate though the explanation will need some pics.   I got my old bi-stormer second hand and unflown off ebay, so it was while the wings and fus were completely stripped that I made the struts. I put the lower wing on as per old model The locating pin hole is on the far right former, wing bolt fixings by the servos. They had to be this way up as there is no room to put them any other. The top wing has 3 or 4mm bolts (can't remember off hand) fixed though a ply plate, these bolts pass through and well beyond the wing surface, later cut to length. The plyplate fits between the ribs and braced . With top and lower wing fitted on the lower wing was adjusted 90* to the fus and the top wing parrallel to bottom. I then got a sliding bevel guage ( really good useful tool for this) and decided what angle the struts should be at. Cut some paxolin tongues to fit in the struts and through a fixing ply plate inthe top and bottom wings....see pic The tongue was epoxied to the ply plate and the rods epoxied through to stop the togue sliding out. The sliding bevel once set and locked keeps all your angles the same, BECAREFUL THERE IS RIGHT AND LEFT HANDED CUTS. The struts were from,http://www.modellers-world.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=3345 After carefully measuring to get everything true cut the struts to length and drill holes to exept bolts all the way through. Once covered it looks like this........ You may need to round the edges of the tongue to insert it into the strut. The strut will squash a bit on being tightened with a bolt. Hope this helpsEdited By Peter Smedley on 10/02/2011 09:53:11
