  1. Hi all   The best heli in the hands of a exspert is well worth the out lay, as it will stay in one peace, but in the hands of a novice will end up a more exspencive pile of scrap, so do not spend to much money till you know where you are going, that is my advice for what its worth.   Keep it in the air Owen.
  2. Hi Gaz and Kevin   I have had Hitec servo on and of. and they are all still working arfter years of use so I think this is a good add., I hope the to days stuf is the same old quality go for it.   happy hovering Owen.
  3. Hi Gaz   I would bie the best servos you can aford, as this is the key to long truble free flying, as flying with the cheaper servos gives a shorter life span, and can last but there is no way of nowwing, and if one goes do on a heli you will proberly crash, and cost you more in the long run.   good luck Owen.
  4. Hi Kevin   I just had a brain wave, are the sky lifter parts the same, as on all the standard cx heli's seam much the same, and walkera parts are very easy ta obtain from HK just a thought I am proberly raving chat again soon.   hope all is well soon  Owen.
  5. Hi all   I havent got a MCX yet, but this sounds like a giro problem to me on the cx heli's if you run the the motors in the rong derection. the giro stops reacting and the heli is impsible to stear so have you got the motors in the right plugs and the blades the right way round as I found this out the hard way when I got it rong on my cx and it did as you have exspaned, hope this is of some use and gets you over your problem.   happy hovering Owen.
  6. Hi all   This seames to be a common problem with small lipos, as the little plugs they use are so fidly to try to conect up, and do not have a long life span. I also find the 3 and 4 pin lipo charging plugs do not last long and the batterys then start not charging properly I have just to day had to solder the wires back onto a nouther pack as they seam to go brital and just shear of all good fun.   All charged up Owen.
  7. Hi Shaun   I have only just sean your post, I got my Walkera 38 from a ebay site xstrem helicopters in Ireland, and have been totaly happy with it and it was unused but had a small crack in the fusalarge so they let me have it for £120 in cludding postage, they are listed at £178 on the Century heli site so I was very happy on the savings.   nice to chat Owen.
  8. Hi Gemma   This is a good idear as the standard parts are very limited and are all from H K and getting more exspencive by the day, so I think if you are looking at be comming a importer or maker of sutch parts, this is a good way to go, there seames to be a lot more going on in the states, and the postal cost is out rages from there, so good luck if you can come up with a range of well priced parts. I have a brace of small heli,s and a Walkera 52 and all could do with a face lift so I hope you get some thing going. I see you live in Essex I also live in Halstead in Essex so I will look fullward to further news.   happy selling and bying Owen.
  9. Hi Kevin   This sounds like the servos are just not fast ones as you need a proper tail servo and then the heading hold will be able to keep up and as said above check your tx settings.   steedy hover Owen.
  10. Hi Eric and all   I was dead jami over crimbo, as we had the two grand children over from Birlin to stay with us for two weeks, and I got them a cuple of 3 channel infred apachy cx heli's for them to play with, well me as well, so we had a grate time flying them round the living room and a grate time was had by all.   Happy days Owen.
  11. Hi John   I would say you have told us the reason that the speed controller went up in smoke and in this case I would all ways replace both parts and not just one.   good fun Owen.
  12. Hi Kevin   I got my Walkera 38 from these people and they seam very helpful to deal with.   happy hovering Owen.
  13. Hi all   My 4 in 1 are all diffrent but as a rule the red comes on at full stick but if you need full stick all the time this is a sine that the fly bar is set rong and needs balancing.   happy hovering Owen.
  14. Hi John   I have got a three channel cx and the first thing to do is make shur your charger is working fully, as there is a lot of chargers that do not put a good full charge in to the pack, if this is ok then look at the top blades and make sure the pitch is ok, hold the heli on a flat and level surfas keep the hand on the skids run up to full throtle if the blades bend up at the ends there sould be a serficent lifft to fly, if not the fly bar is not set right so It may need balancing, are all the blades in good condition, hope this is some sort of help.   Good luck Owen.
  15. Hi Eric & Simon   This is the same as the one I had for crimbo, the Walkera 38 and it is totaly superb to fly it hovers as stable as the real thing, and flys like it as well. I just think that Walkera are totaly on the ball with the new models that they are comming out with and the 2.4 gh is so cool it has to be to impress me.   Happy hovering Owen.
  16. Hi all   I have read all the coments about the difrent clones and the place I got mine from is in H K and is www.eskyheli.com and the parts are very cheap this may help.   good luck Owen.
  17. Hi Kevin   I will be intrested to see this heli, as I like the cx format and have got on with my Walkera 38 skylifter like a house on fire, so this sounds good to I have just got a Apache gun ship 3 channel heli and could not beleve how well it flys it is as good as the other cx's I have and only cost £28 quid from H K, so as soon as you get a pik of it send it down the pipe and tell us were we can get one its all ways nice to speak to you.   happy hovering Owen.
  18. Hi Phil You may find it is a case of making shore the pitch is wright on the top blades as all cx helis suffer with this problem from time to time  to do this you need the heli totaly leavel and the fly bar level and if you look at the blades thay sould be sloped back not follward if not ajust the link this may help. Happy hovering Owen.
  19. Hi Gaz I have only got the Copterx 200 but I think it is out standing value for money and flys so well the place to get them from is in H K and is eskyheli.com the home of all models and parts I just love mine has taken all the stick I have given it it realy is fine. Happy new year to all Owen.
  20. Hi all This is just starting to hit me where it hearts, as to day I sent for some parts to H K and the $ is going up at a alarming rate of knots, and today was at 68p this is some rise from 3 mouths ago when it was 2 to the £. I think we are all going to the cleaners over this so called credit crunch, and will all end up well and truly jiggered at the end of the day, as we all where told to invest in stocks and shares for our pension funds, and these are loosing money hand over fist were will it end. keep your pecker up Owen.
  21. Hi all Just a up date on the Vortex R 22 to say that it is still flying well, and it has not let me down in any way at all. I can only give it the praise that it deserves as it is a truly good starter heli, for those of you who need to get a taste of the heli flying bug with out braking the bank, so this gives you a good starting point fly on a budget Owen..
  22. Hi steve and all I my self are a copterx 200 fan and this is a grate heli for very small out lay, as you can get the kit version for a song and fit you own parts of your choice, flys any were you cair to take it and is a nice and easy to set up I got mine from esky helicopters.com good people to deal with. happy hovering Owen.
  23. Hi all I have noticed the dollar is getting a lot stronger as the H K prices are creeping up all the time I think the day of cheap imports my be coming to an end may be it will be the save the jobs in the long run who knows we mite just have to start making it in blighty again Har Har. happy days Owen
  24. Hi all This is a truly amazing heli it is just so much fun to fly, and it even dues look scale in the way it hovers it fly es so smooth, and it is good on the eye. I can see this is going to get a lot of use, every one who See's it thinks it is the cat's whisker, and just looks in amazement, so hope this gives you all some sort of in site as to how its going so far let me now if you have one to. All  Owen.
  25. Hi Kevin The bird has landed on my door step to day, and it is a big old beast of a thing, and it is the red and bronze colour skeam it looks a treat. I have got no charger for it as the one that came with it was damaged so I had to use my esky charger as this is the only one I know works ok. but after a 2 hour wait after getting it out of the box, I had it hovering in the living room and it just sits in one spot a treat, it is so dosiie and is just the job if you are a newby and this is the machein to go for, it is quite heavy so dus not float around to much. I find the secret to getting of the ground is as briscley as possible, and the large tork reaction dus not make it roll around to much, and it hovers best at about three to six foot of the ground, I am looking fullwaed to taking it to work tomoro and having a go at flying it in the factory. happy hovering Owen.
