  1. Yeah, I know what you mean, I believe a bad weather front and strong wind is on it's way in. Oh well, I guess the summer is well and turly over!
  2. Kevin, I would say if a brass weight was missing than you should notice moving around in the hover. I notice even when the fly bar is slightly bent, my heli seems to do a cycling motion. It's funny how once the fly bar is bent you can never shape it straight again.
  3. Jason, I believe on ebay there is an extended shaft which helps prevent the blade clashing. However, I haven't heard that anyone has tried one. The link is below and they are always on sale on their.
  4. How ture that saying is Owen. I am just glad ebay exists!
  5. Woke up this morning and the sun was shining and there was no wind at all. So I thought perfect! time to get the Blade out for a good flight in the field next to the house. I was flying perfect on the first two batteries until I was flying on the last when about 80 foot in the air and nose in flying when the upper and lower blades clashed. I heard them hit each other and then my Blade fell nose first, building speed as it hit the ground hard!. As you can see from the picture above, it looks kn******d! But don't be fooled! All what happened is that the receiver and four in one pot come un-stuck of the mount. Two broken blades (which I replaced), a slightly bent fly bar (which I corrected) and yes a total smashed canopy which I will order one later of ebay. It only took 20 mins to repair and I have just test flown it and it's like it never crashed! It still flies the same. What a tough little chopper and my lesson learnt to not fly so high and fast!
  6. Count me in, still wait to win something. Might get lucky.
  7. I took in to work and there is none of the above. Transmitter battery is reading 4.7V. I will have to keep my eye on it and see how it goes when I re charge the batteries.
  8. Hiya, I flown my blade this morning and noticed that the servo for pitching the aircraft forward and back is twicting? I saw it happening when I hovered the heli and looked at it from behide. Any ideas why?
  9. Just thinking, another reason why you maybe adjusting the gain between batteries, I noticed on my Blade between two E-Flight batteries that each one was different and changed how the helicopter performance. I had to adjust the gain slightly on each battery. Maybe the heli is effected by slightly different power output? Just some think to think about.....
  10. Kevin, you was luck to get out and fly though six batteries. Hope to get out this weekend as well as race my buggy around (which i have when its too windy to fly).  I noticed with mine from time to time it is a bit twitchy and then it settles down. Sometimes I find its the servo arms twitcing about.
  11. That will be intresting to find out the differance between the too helis.
  12. I can only think of one thing, with adding the metal alloy parts will make the helicopter a little heavier and it will need more power to gain lift. Not sure what else it could be.? Sorry.
  13. Care to explain the camera more? Did you have a bird strike?
  14. Yeah don't you hate it when that happens. Mine was a little higher with full nose in flying when the blade clashed, broke and my Blade nosed in to the ground. Might have to extend my shaft too. No thats not me being rude!
  15. Nice cases! Can you get them in plain without the stickers?
  16. Yeah thats a good idea, you could always by the E-flight Bell ranger body as an option. I have my Blade 400 back after I crashed it in to the ground. It has a alloy rear boom now and I can't wait to try flying it again. I will put the training gear on it this time.
  17. Well Kevin thats good news. You have one to use as spares.
  18. Hi Kevin, they should looking into it for you and find a reason why it failed and send you a replacement. When I bought my Blade 400 3D the first time I connected the battery and powered up the motor, the ESC failed and burnt completely out causing a fire (there's a thread on this forum on this). The shop changed it which was great and send it back to manufacture for a reason why. I still waiting for the out come.
  19. Yeah I guess that's on good thing which has come about, but its at a cost. I guess if you want to make some cash back, you can sell some on ebay.
  20. Those dam trees get in the way and make are hobbies expensive!
