  1. What about a Hirobo Lama Contra rotating heli :P £210! I will be buying new parts for all the bits that have cosmetic flaws so it will be good as new
  2. It works! This means I can use it as a buddybox slave!
  3. Might recondition and sell my Hirobo Lama and get one maybe, Anyone? £200! amazing quality!
  4. Soldered a mono plug onto the end of a 5 pin header cable and the PPM signal coming out the module pins so i am pretty sure it may be an RF problem, could just change it out for a cheap 2.4ghz module I guess, or a new 35mhz module. It just seemed like too good a bit of kit to leave doing nothing, although I have found its not as good as I thought it was, the front which I though was metal turns out to be plastic :s   It's not really a case of me being a student and not being able to afford any better, I have a DX6i I could use for stuff.     The april fish? Lol
  5. As one of only two flying, it is too valuable to be left in a museum! People would probably spend money to go see it fly!
  6. I've got this idea, its a rotating thing with buckets on the end, water runs from the bottom bucket to the top and it will never stop spinning!
  7. Just wondering if I can send my rather old x347 tranny into be serviced (free?) If it is free i might as well do it and get a good 35mhz transmitter but if it isn't i will just rewire it and inbuild a 2.4ghz module into it.   The 35mhz module is pretty beaten up. The trainer jack does not fully work (won't go into slave mode). Battery is pretty shoddy but I can deal with that. The aerial snapped but this should be easy to replace. When I turn it on it flashes backup error    Pretty sure that is all that is wrong with it.   It is in pretty bad shape, my Grandad got it from a swapmeet to begin with!   It is a nice bit of kit and I would like to keep using it but it caused my helicopter to crash last time I used it. I soldered the fuse in because the chassis flexing popped this out causing the whole tranny to reboot :sEdited By Peter 'Servo Scrounger' Savage on 30/03/2010 23:20:58
  8. Oh, here is my 'UAV' thing. I am currently doing a college project for a fuel pump for it! the fuel run is > 6" so it has problems sucking fuel. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=155253&id=613847095&l=db1c72c0c9
  9. If i did it i would put across a blatent Predator UAV copy! With a high lift wing of course! I haven't done any Uni'ing yet but the aerospace course looks rather boring, entering environmental constants into a flight simulator someone else has already made, no learning to fly an aircraft! If there is one i want to do in life it is to get a pilots license, but that is just designing and stuff  I eventually put down for H300 course code Edited By Peter 'Servo Scrounger' Savage on 30/03/2010 00:42:05 Edited By Peter 'Servo Scrounger' Savage on 30/03/2010 00:43:06
  10. Timbo, i can tell your itching to build one, the hanging around the thread is a dead give away! surrender your wallet and buy it!
  11. How do you get your uni to do the BMFA heavy lift challenge? I would love to get my hands on some of that prize money :P
  12. If you could find a way of getting hydrogen and oxygen to split, or to be present without the use of energy, then thats where the future lies, till then though :s
  13. What about the electricity needed to do electrolysis compared to running a car on petrol, really not worth it!
  14. I have found this is no where near as fun as I thought it would be when I was withdrawing the £80 from my bank account
  15. You haven't stolen our razer plane have you mad hatter? our one of them has gone missing!
  16. Now that I have looked more into it, it does look quite good, but they have gone and made it more stable.
