I have been using a DX7 for a few years and now want to upgrade to a DSX9.Here in Oz it costs twice as much.Is the quality of the DSX9 better than the Spectrum sets? Some people say they are made in the same factory.
I have had a DX7 for 3 years now, with minor niggles such as a blown fuse[luckily on the ground] and am upgrading to a JR 2.4MHz 9 channel Tx which is a better quality product,Yes,I know it costs twice as much! The price of peace of mind.
I too had a break from R/C flying for 10years.I was amazed at how difficult it was to start again. Not quite like riding a bike.It really took a deliberate effort. We are fortunate here to have great weather.I fly 3 days a week now which tends to be hard on ARFs which only last about 3 months before the covering falls off and they start to look tatty. The sim is a great aid to learning;it costs nothing to repair an image.
