  2. Gary Another thought - run windows trouble shooter, ther is one fir software and hardware. If it finds an issue it will reinstall software drivers etc If above fails i can walk tou thru using Mint. I use it for my online banking as loves on the usb anything i do on line is disgarded when you logoff DJC .
  3. Gary Have you tried connecting your laptop to the router using a cable? Does your smartphone connect to router ? Or are you using mobiles data network to read these messages? DJC
  4. Couple of thoughts. Does it all work if you plug a cable into router, that will confirm if wifi issue or not. If all good it proves BB good etc and it is looking like a wifi issue. Do you know what model/supplier router you have Can you take a picture of router lights Who is your BB supplier Fibre or copper connection Sorry for so many thoughts/questions DJC
  5. My copy just dropped on the mat
  6. i did win but tickets arrived too late. on the friday before event david
  7. put me down for 1 Phil, Been an interesting project From an original Forum posting about Arduino pressie to a full blown working system covering 90% of every day modellers requirements all within 4 mths. What's next someone building a full blown NEW system based on Taranis sticks, switches and sliders housed in an Eddystone box. Great project Phil, it is a credit to your ingenuity. Dave C
  8. Phil sorted - cleared cache and all working you are a star as usual dave c
  9. Phil am I going mad cannot see P16 or P17, only P15 ??? dave c
  10. phil you never fail to amaze me with your ingenuity, don't you ever sleep whats next GG using the toggle switch any chance of see the code ? I have been kicking around some thoughts on a back of a fag packet to provide a bang bang solution using an arduino, but a bit strapped for cash and time to put it in to action djc
  11. Phil There is nothing quite like the satisfaction of flying something that you have built for the first time. I remember the joy every time I flew my old 27mhz Classic system. Those were the days when you even built the amps for the servos from a bag of bits. I could kick myself, as I only recycled it a little while ago, it would have a made a good retro build djc
  12. hi all All a bit worrying with these 'failures' on the bench, What would happen if you are flying and Arduino fails..- failsafe or maybe partial failure if only one input fails. djc

  14. what next Phil Galloping Ghost or single channel using an Arduino looks like Arduino has taken over from pic solution djc
  15. DG3 This issue is documented in Phil & Shauns website **LINK** djc
  16. hi all came across another article about time it takes Arduino to boot up, their solution was to switch transmitter on first then receiver. this enable Arduino time to stabalise djc

  18. hi please see on going thread - Futaba M6 Fr Sky 2.4 ghz DIY Conversion by Paul Luby been tweaked by Phil Green and looking like it will be a future RCM&E article if Paul can find the time to write it. rgds dave c
  19. Phil thks for feedback if u do want to play with LCD, here is a site **LINK** rgds djc
  20. hi all Have you seen this Arduino Radio Control web site. Features June 8, 2014 Version 1.5.5 Programmable with Linux or Windows via USB up to 9 proportional channels, 6 channels by default Channels controlled by a potentiometer or by a switch 9 model memories Model selection switch 2 programmable mixers Dual rate/Exponential switch Throttle cut switch End point adjustment Subtrims Potentiometers and servos calibration Throttle security check at startup Transmitter battery low voltage alarm Arduino board with ATmega328 microcontroller (Nano v3.0 recommended) **LINK** djc
  21. Paul No hurry as I see it being a long term project thank you djc
  22. Hi Paul, I have been following this thread with great interest, I have just converted my Sanwa vg400 to 2.4g using the defacto FrSky. Now looking to add channels and add bells and whistles using your Arduino project. So I am very keen to see your final your code. So I can see is I can break it down in to manageable chunks to add the functions as I get more familiar with Arduino code. cheers Dave C
