  1. Hello Mike. Don't know if your aware but there is a club near you that fly off the land around the Gateway Accademy in Chadwell. I think they fly on Sundays. There also an indoor flying club at the same place, again I think they fly on Sundays. May be worth contacting the school. BB

  7. Excellent post Garry. I use a similar system for letting me know when packs are charged or not. As long as one sticks to their respective system, there should be no concerns. These items are more for the un-initiated, I feel. And yes, your right. A, Money-maker ! BB
  8. Lovely plane. Beef up any joints you can find on bare wood. It'l last longer. Standard servos will be more than adequate. Double check control surfaces - give them a good tug, then add CA if necessary to strengthen. If flying off a grass strip, go 'tail dragger'. 'Cause the nose will dig in and bend (use a stock wire U/C). Think they come with a 6oz tank.  Change to an eight if you can.  Good for a 20 -30 min flight at 1/3 - 1/2 throttle. Use decent batteries 4.8v 2600 mah, for long training flights. Will do all the basics and aerobatic capable. Great little frame . BB Edited By BB on 07/03/2012 01:51:32

  10. Posted by Martin Harris on 05/03/2012 21:33:48: Shame there's no video (as far as I could see) of some of them running. I wonder if these are bought as curios rather than to run - or even better - fly. Looking at the prices, it's likely to be the first option, I suspect. Heres one being run Martin: BB

  12. Posted by Steve W-O on 27/02/2012 09:06:23: Paypals agreement (or anyone elses) can not reduce thr rights you are entitled to by any legislation. There are exclusions: http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/The-risks-using-Paypal-yahoofinanceuk-26509032.html Paragraph 3: Does Paypal actually offer extra protection? Section 75 of the Credit Consumer Act (legislation). Also, purchases of less than £100 will not be covered via your CC'd resolution protocol. http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/publications/ombudsman-news/31/creditcards-31.htm
  13. Never had a problem with Paypal in 5 years. Registration was easy. Just have to remember to update C/card details every couple of years (but, only through my paypal account) not via the spam reminder that finds its way to my inbox. Truth be told where possible one has more protection using a credit card. If you purchase from a seller on Ebay and you do get payment options it is better to use a credit card directly. The reason is this; If you do use a Credit Card registered via Paypal and make payment through a Paypal account by default, you have agreed to be bound by their T&C agreement, not your credit card companys'. I.E. When / if there is a dispute and Paypal doesn't resolve the issue, you have no rights under the consumer credit act to then seek resolve through your credit card company. You have to be prepared to read the small print in these matters I believe:  And there are limited liabilities contained with the Paypal T&C's.  Which don't exist within a standard credit card agreement. I'd never register a Debit Card with Paypal. I never use a Debit Card online at all. BB Edited By BB on 27/02/2012 07:23:01

  15. If you have an architects office in the high street. Try them. I got into the hobby 4 years ago and my 'ol man only just admitted to using an architects office for copying plans recently. His been a regular for years (some 30 odd), they only charge him a £1.00p, no matter the sizing. Me they charge a fiver. I can live with that. In 30 years a fiver will be worth a quid ! BB
  16. Loadsa room there. Just remember your BMFA Insurance is valid incase of a mishap. BB

  18. Came into good effect for me last year. 'Low battery'. I tried nursing the plane back to the patch but there wasn't enough 'leccy'' juice left in it. Reciever went into failsafe and the plane came down a couple of hundred yards away. Written off but, not a flyaway. Had it not been set, the plane could have gone any where. As it had a full tank of fuel onboard.   BB
  19. Posted by Forkbeard on 08/02/2012 20:52:30: Hi Guys, I am new to RC airplane flying and would appreciate some advice on the best first radio set-up to get. Should I go for the Hitec, the Spektrum or something else completely? All help and advice will be greatly appreciated, Cheers.   If I was new to the hobby. I'd fly Hitec Aurora. Bang per bucks, it just can not be beaten. And I fly Futaba! Trouble with Aurora - Not many folks are using - which makes buddying 'iffy.   If you want to buddy: Go Spectrum, or Futaba. Lads at your LMFC should help.   BB ....What I would do differently dept....
