Ian W
I know the 124 is a regular visitor, but I didn't realise a 225 was visiting. I hope so though, would love to see one in the flesh....... Might take a look in the morning myself. Edited By Ian W on 16/02/2010 22:17:

Ross Clarkson
Am i right in saying there is only one in the world? Initially designed for transporting the Space Shuttle.
Nobby159
Ross, right on both accounts if you can believe WikipediaNobby
Craig Carr
Hi Ross, Yep it was used for transporting the Russian Shuttle "Buran". I think the wiki article Nobby links to is accurate and seems to correlate to other info on the web. Buran was only flown once (unmanned) but was destroyed in a hanger collapse. The Soviets cancelled their shuttle program in 1993. The 225 is certainly some aircraft. Well worth a visit for anyone in the area Craig
