I like... Neat building Tim and that is a meanacing aeroplane! Let me know when you want to flog it... I got a big stash of Zim dollars
-
I can only think of or relate "wasp" branded stuff to BRC... Just my 2 penny... Have you a picture of the ESC? I might have a idea or a solution...
-
If it is this speed controller or from here check out the bottom of the page: NOTE: This ESC does not have a reverse function. So looks like you need a 2 min job with the soldering iron In the time it takes to find the info on the web it is probably faster and easier to just swop a wire for all of a few minutes work/soldering. Er, my starting offer was a tenner mate No rock star wages in your time then Tim? lol It is a very nice model... tempting.... Let us know how you get on! You could always put it on fleabay with a reserve and see if it sells there with your desired price tag. -

Jim I agree... it's a tough one! For me personally I would rather you kept the big 4 stroke and got rid the airframe as that is the issue? Airframe transportation; possibly you could rehome the big glow in another model that is easier to transport? Or like Myron says swop for some smaller models... Do you want ££ or models, if it's the latter I wonder what guys would offer in exchange. I suppose a lot will also depend on what model type you are interested in.Edited By Tim Mackey on 26/01/2012 16:44:08 -

Sorry Danny! Gutted! Probably turning into a condolence thread but with some editing, a most inspiring thread to building a Spitfire! Good luck and "happy flying"! with the Hurricane! If you comming over to dog fight Ton I believe I am not to far from his location! Maybe we can we meet up for a warbird fest! My DB Spit should be done by then and my mate has a FW190 (1.9m) so all fitting the bill of action! -
Thats looking good! Top Flite kits are fun to build, had a great time building the Spi!

Hi Danny, No prob, I have just got back home from the Uk, so if its cool I wil get to the cellar in the morning and take some pics for you and you can determine the shape of the spinner. For flying purpose is fine, the shape is a little blunt on the snount as the bolt to the prop adaptor goes through the centre. The spinners are made of glass fibre... If anything you might have to have a static prop/spinner and a flying one?? But your OSS (Obsessive Scale Syndrome) might have a part to play lol... Nevertheless maybe you could use a excisting cone and make a mould for the backplate? Offers there so... Intersested in your results from the vario prop guys, I have seen them at the Dortmund Intermodellbau.... -

Danny, Have been away and havent quite read all the posts... You mentioned a "spinner"? I have a nice backplate and 2 uncut spinners made by Andreas Dehn if you want to give them a go, they bolt onto that prop adaptor I gave you perfectly... The backplate is a tad heavier than your standard commercial spinner as I needed the weight up front on my TF Spit, I think they around 90mm Dia so if the right size I will double check and send them along...
