retract servo slow down

my latest buid has mec retrcts and i have got 2 hitec retract servos and thought it would be a great idea to purchase a turnegy servo slow down gizmo , but the prob is because the retract servos are not proportional it wont work , but works fine on a standard servo , can i use standard servos for my retracts ??????,hope that is understandable ??

I don't see why not Jez, give it a try. Do you have a "Servo Slow" function on your Tx?

....not shure about that using futaba ff7  will have a look

, will try  standard ones , just thought you had to use retract type , as standard ones pull current all the time they are not in neutral ???

Hmm, not too sure about that Jez. Even when a servo is in its neutral position it will pull current if an outside force is acting on the servo arm as the servo will try to maintain this position.

Jez,sorry,it won't work with dedicated retract servos unfortunately (the Turnigy device that is..)

It works fine with standard servos as fitted to my B-26, you can even reverse direction with them too.
