Jonathan Lewzey Posted May 10, 2010 Share Posted May 10, 2010 you'd get over a kilowatt with that motor pulling 55A on 5s which is very good if the model is between the 1700-1900g stated. a few things though; ESC 60A as suggested on the page and maybe a lower kV motor? i'm looking at a turnigy one for my funtana X50 at the moment which is only a little bit bigger letting it swing 15" props instead of the 11x6 shown on the GC website. The model spec calls for a 14x7 so try to find a motor which produces about 900W on 5s that turns a 14x7 according to the manufacturer. of course, with any 3D model, try to look for the lightest motor and battery possible, ESC and servos are less critical i'd say. a few tens of grams may also be saved at the receiver.
