J.N.
I have tried in vain to find engine mounts with parallel beams of the readily available glass fibre type from the likes of Radio Active, SLEC, Graupner. By parallel I mean the beams are the same distance apart throughout their length My concern is how to fit the engine square to the fire wall If I drill out the two rearmost holes in the beams ( to accept the crankcase mounting bolts) equidistant from the beam edge, the drilling point for the foremost holes in the beams are not the same distance from the edges of the beams. I have tried to spread the front of the beams to match the width at the rear but found that the beam will bend slightly in the middle. Or should I drill out the rear engine mounting holes square to the rear of the engine mount. Then secure the engine with the rear bolts and transfer the point for the front holes through the front engine crankcase holes and take no notice of where the holes are in relation to the beam width. Thanks.
