Peter Gallivan
I have recently purchased a Multiplex EasyStar basic model i.e without motor etc. I would like to install a brushless Lipo set up and was wondering if anyone had experience of a set up that works?? Also has anyone added ailerons or done any other creative tinkering?? so I can develop the model further
Grasshopper
Hi, been down this road and I started with these sites. In French but some great pictures so worth a look. http://easystarien.xooit.com/f15-Easystar-modifications.htm This link (from the above) shows wings with 2 servos a side which is a bit over the top but interesting nevertheless! http://easystarien.xooit.com/t153-easy-star-tuning.htm Have fun, let us know how it goes. Matthew Lloyd
Yup - call BRC - £7 should secure you a nice little purple outrunner. Mine has one which (I think) produces about 120W - a good 40% more than the stock item. Put the ESC on the TOP of the model to keep it cool. My easystar is now fun to fly, as before it was just nice. Final set up uses a 3S Lipo and a 12A ESC - all cheap as chips. I do seem to fly at full chat all the time though!
