Tim Mackey Posted September 14, 2010 Share Posted September 14, 2010 Can you tell the ESC that your are using nickel cells, and then simply fly until the motor slows significantly - and then land. All future flights can then be timed accordingly. A123s are far more tolerant of low voltage than lipo - see HEREBest LVC is around 2V per cell, but as stated not critical like Lipo.
