I think a flashing RX light also can indicate a brief loss of signal , which could have occurred for various reasons.
 
TW2.
Nope - the only time a flashing LED occurs is
1) rapid flash - bind mode
2) slower flash - brown out ( battery voltage fell below threshold )

Sorry folks Tim is quite correct,another good example of discussion revealing inaccuracies in our views and knowledge,in this case an incorrect assumption of mine.
