Allan Bennett
My club has been bequeathed a trainer aircraft, including a 6EX 2.4GHz transmitter. The model has servos, so we need only to buy a Futaba (or compatible) 2.4GHz receiver for it. I have an old FF6 35MHz transmitter which I would be happy to donate if it can be used on the "pupil" end of a training cord with the 6EX. Does anyone know if this can be done, please? I've just read a thread four down from this, which basically says it can be done with the correct buddy cable. Sorry to have bothered anyone
CARPERFECT
Yes, all you need is a Futaba square to round trainer lead. The 2.4 or the 35mhz can be used as the master or slave.
Allan Bennett
Thanks, CARPERFECT, that's what I'd figured from what I read in the other thread. I want the 2.4GHz set to be the master. Will the slave need to be powered?
Michael Hickman
Slave is not powered, but draws what little (screen?) it needs from the master.
Allan Bennett
Thank you Michael. So I don't have to replace the NiMh pack that's been sitting in it for so many years.
