Alan Cantwell Posted September 25, 2011 Share Posted September 25, 2011 i have heard of several kit collectors buying good condition boxes for kits, they replace the less than perfect ones they already have, making the kits much better to the collector, a friend of mine does a roaring trade in repro boxes for engines, and die-cast cars, there is a HUGE collectors market out there that a lot are not even aware of, one well known model shop owner likes to display empty old time kit boxes in his shop window, gives the place that old patina look, Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
