How to remove a warp?

I'm nearly ready to cover my Fusion Micro, but have noticed that the elevator has a slight warp. About 4mm at one tip when laid on a flat surface. He structure is built up from ply/balsa. What would you recommend is the best way to fix, or will Solarfilm pull it into shape if heated on flat surface anyway?

I had quite a warp on the horizontal stabiliser on my Radio Queen which badly affected the handling.I straightened it by holding it in the opposite direction as the warp and playing my heat gun over it.Of course it ais covered.

put it over a kettle, and steam it, twisting the opposite way, check as you are doing it, then weight it down until the balsa drys, best to wear a pair of gloves for this, and be carefull!!

I too have found that applying a little more heat to opposite side to the warp sorts out most minor warps.

 

Keep an eye on it though as it weathers as it may well creep back as the covering slackens.

Thanks all, will try and straighten with steam before I cover as much as possible... and hopefully the covering will do the rest.
