winchweight
Another good edition, but this one is packed with some great photos. I love the pictures of the Gloster Pioneer, especially the one as it rotates and the wheels are coming up.... very atmospheric. I'd like to see a review of the Twister Chinook at some point too. Looking forward to Jan's free plan. The Werewolf, as seen here on modelflying.Good work guys.
Tim Mackey
SC did you get my email?
David Ashby - Moderator
Thanks Shaun, yes that E28/39 is something special, I've put some extra build photos etc. up in our album in the gallery. The Chinook is on my desk but we couldn't resist putting it on the cover, it's a world first according to J.Perkins. They came and flew it for our camera and it looks more stable than a single rotor model but we'll pop it in the studio for more photos this week then start flying it so we can see for ourselves - review in the next month or so. David.
winchweight
Hi Tim. I'm at work at the mo' so I'll let you know. David, the chinook is on your desk........ and you haven't had a go?
David Ashby - Moderator
Not allowed to until the photographer has snapped away it's always tempting fate
texas
The Chinook may be a World First but the finish shown on the cover photo is enough to put anyone off. There's no review so why is it there in any case? One of the superb photos of the Gloster E28/39 would have been far better and much more appropriate. Jonathan Lewzey
I want to thank you on writing the "B prepared" article as I am thinking of doing my B next year. These sorts of tutorials and advice are probably my favourite reading, like the stuff in the special
Johnnie
TexasWould agree with you. Why is the Chinnook on the fron cover. Surely the cover should reflect the content.
flytilbroke
The front cover of the December issue really does "reflect" the content of the magazine. The magazine and it's content reflects forward thinking and the future, not merely reminding people of the history of model aircraft.Pssst, David. Do I get my nice boxed revue model before or after Xmas?
David Ashby - Moderator
Kind of accept what folks have to say re the cover it's just we got a bit excited by the model (no really) the review should hopefully be along in the next issue. Flytil' before xmas? which one
flytilbroke
In Nigel Hawes' Christmas Ampere article, mention is made of "Greenairdesigns.com". I am unable to connect, the feedback is " Webpage not found " So, is the e-address correct?
flytilbroke
No need now for answer to above. I did a search using only > greenairdesigns < that did highlight the address as given, and it worked. Thanks

David Ashby - Moderator
The body is about 20" long with normal fixed pitch twin rotors of 13.5" diameter. David
