Blue Max
Recently purchased a Hacker 80A ESC and this weekend I started to assemble the motor (Hacker A50/16S), ESC and LiPo (Hacker 3800 6S) into the model, When I connected the ESC into the system and hooked up the LiPo the ESC made a quick two tone beep, I started to open the throttle and the motor spun up and then slowed up to a stop, even when I am opening the throttle, this happens every time. Is the ESC in "safe mode", if so how do I get the ESC into normal mode ? LiPo cells all ok and showing correct voltage, motor is not binding, throttle TX end stops all OK, Thanks Andy
ken anderson.
BM......sounds like the esc needs to know what it is doing(programming)?......then it should work ok.... ken anderson ne..1 ....esc dept.
Olly P
I would agree, sounds like it is expecting more cells, and is only allowing a little power through as it thinks the batt is flat..... The Hacker website has manuals for it's ESC's if I remember correctly....
Blue Max
Thanks for the responses so far, the Lipo is a 6S and all cells check out OK, this was my initial thought but the ESC was also checked with another Lipo and the ESC was the same. I will check out the Hacker Website for the manual, I have the paper manual and no clues in there Andy
