Vassilis Papangelis
What would the effect be on the plane when it's vertical fin isn't exactly vertical to the horizontal stabilizer? I have an acro wot that after a repair I did I noticed that the vertical fin has a slight angle away from the vertical thus not being exactly perpendicular to the horizontal stab. What effect would this have to its flying characteristics? Should I bother realigning it?
Trex700e
Youll most probably notice it when you use the rudder. The plane wont just yaw but will slightly climb and decend i should imagine.
Vassilis Papangelis
Thanks. Would not like that happening. Should better realign it.

Peter Miller
As said, if only a bit out of alignment you won't notice. It would have to be around30 degrees out before it would even start to act like an elevator.
Steve Houghton 1
I have an EPP glider which needed repairs. Afterwards the fin had a pronounced angle on it and the tailplane also had quite an angle on it. Now this isn't some slow, stoogy glider, it can wack along at a fair pace when it wants to but I can't say I've noticed any difference at all.
