Doug Ireland
Hi Guys, Happy New Year.I got one of these E-Flite do-dads as a Stocking Filler from my beloved and was wondering if anyone out there has one? I'm still working abroad just now so haven't had a chance to get my mitts on it yet. I was reading through the spec on it and it says that a 6ch radio is necessary for the mixing. Why 6 chanels when it only has three servos? By the way, this will be my first 'lektrik model! I'm more used to big petrol driven kites so keeping the weight down will be a new challenge! David Ashby - Moderator
Doug Not familiar with the model but I assume its because they assume you'll be using the flapperon function plugging aileron servos into channels 1 and 6 instead of using a y-lead? Doug Ireland
Still a little confused though. How does a "3D" capable model fly on three servos?
David Ashby - Moderator
True Doug - I'd expect two for aileron then elevator and rudder at least - assume it uses a centre wing servo for ailerons?
Doug Ireland
hmm, good point. I'll let you know when I get to see it myself.
Tim Mackey
Forget the silly "Instructions". This foamy profile shocky style "model" requires just 3 servos, and simply a transmitter with rate switches ( which trs dont have them anyway ???) 1 x rudder 1 x aileron1 x elevator. 4th channel required for ESC throttle. 6 channel ?? Naaah!PS this will be a LOT different to your big proper models Doug, and requires a whole different skill set to fly properly....have fun
Doug Ireland
I wondered how the go pedal was connected! At least I'll get to use my new charger!

Doug Ireland
Hi Guys,Just finished putting the Divo together and what a fiddly job that was! Can anyone suggest what to do with a three-foot long rx aerial and a two-foot fuselage?
