Tim Kearsley
Hi all,Just gave my new FlyCamOne its first outing this afternoon, mounted underneath my Seagull Extra 300 EP. Results are pretty good except that the battery gave out after about 5 minutes! When you charge the FlyCamOne via the USB port (camera LCD display shows "PC")should the switch on the camera be ON or OFF?Many thanks.Tim. Alan B
Hi TimSwitch the unit off - plug the lead into the camera - then plug into the USB port while the computer is on - it should then come up with PC on the camera screen and then start charging.I presume it is better to charge the unit with the main switch offAlPS I have just noticed - I presume you are refering to the flycamoneV2
Tim Kearsley
Thanks for the reply Al.Yes, it is the V2. Well I thought I had been charging it like that but it seems to have not taken much charge. That's why I wondered if the switch needed to be on. I'll give it a go.Cheers,Tim. Alan B
As a matter of interest (I Dont know how to link this) check out Chris Hornby's thread on FCOV2 Theres a lot of information and conversation about this cameras performance in cold weather and lack of it!Al
Michael Lank
Here is Chris Hornby's articleIf you look at the forum part of the FlyCamOne2 website you will see a lot of discussion on the cameras switching themselves off (look at the International Inquiries and Requests section for English language comments, or in the rest of the forum if you understand German). Paul Smith 2
Just received my new FCO2 today. So far, I'm pretty frustrated. I too, busted off the clips off the bottom of the bracket when trying to attach to the camera. Not a good start. Also, when ON, I can toggle between the various modes, but the shutter button seems to have no effect. I cannot take any pictures or record video. The screen displays UR, but when I press the shutter button, nothing happens. I'm using a 2GB SD card. I did do the firmware update. Any Ideas? Michael Lank
Hi Paul,The clips on the mounting bracket are too weak for something intended to be used on model planes!Excuse me asking the obvious, but have you charged up the battery? What you are describing does happen when the battery is low.
