John Sheehy
Hello all, I'm looking for a cheap and easy way of recording my flights. I think my best bet is an old camcorder with AV in, but any suggestions welcomed. John.

Frank Skilbeck
See if you can find an old Archos AV500 series on E Bay, these are a hard drive based Personal Video recorder like these here they have AV in and record in MPEG 4 format. You'd have the advantage that you would be able to review the flight back on the device as well. The police used them for a while to record fottage from their head cams. Don't know where you are based, but if you are near Gloucester I have one you could try (Not looking to sell it though) But would the cheapest way just be to fit a key cam to the plane. John Sheehy
Thanks Frank, I'll look for one of those on Ebay. I use a Gum Cam on board attached to the back of the pan\tilt so it follows where I look, but I want to record my OSD output as well. The Gum Cam will probably provide a better picture but it would be nice to have the flight details such as height, speed and distance from the Tx.
