Jack Blanchard
The flight after this video my motor blew up in flight. That would have made a good video. Lost power and dropped like a brick making a lot of noise. I was doing some tic tocs and I thought the main shaft broke. Took it apart and the bottom motor bearing is gone. WolstonFlyer
Hi JackWow very nice flying you must have put in a whole load of hours practice. That high pitched "whining" noise would have made me think there was a bad bearing somewhere. Do you ever oil your heli bearings? I use Labelle 108 light oil on my motors and bearings. It is a synthetic oil that will not damage plastics.P.S This forum does not use Bulletin Board code for URL's, you need to use the link tool in the toolbar of the editing window. Frank Skilbeck
I had one of the wires break from the ESC to motor on my 300x, fortunatley the only damage was a broken skid. I'm no 3D flier but I do like this little heli.
Jack Blanchard
Thanks guys. I should have noticed the noise as a problem. I had read the 300 was noisy so just didn't pay attention. I did oil the bearings but this heli doesn't have many flights and motors should last a lot longer. No worries new motor on its way and still love this heli
Steve Hargreaves - Moderator
Jack, I've just tweaked your post to include the video...... Maybe spend a minute or two reading this tutorial about posting youtube videos...
