ericrw
I'm looking for a high wing, twin motor model, (not a Multiplex Twin) with a wing span of approx 72", give or take 6". Apart from a very expensive Hanger 9 Twin Otter, I'm not having any luck, used or new. Though I'm looking for an electric model I don't mind if an i/c model that can be converted, is available. Dean
I think this is great value at £132 72" twin and it has been converted to electric, But it is low wing Are you after an ARTF? Dean
ericrw
Phil B, It's getting closer. That particular model is offered at £199.00 by SMC. Ideally, I'm wanting a larger wingspan. Are the Grandson's flying skill coming on ??? Dean, I'm afraid my flying skills are only related to High wing models. An ARTF is what I'm after but I'm OK at converting i/c to electric. I'm hoping someone has a Twin Otter or Islander for sale.

cymaz
Don't be put off with a Seagull Dual Ace. One of the easiest twins i know to fly. So good that when I had a mid air with my first DA ( not the planes fault I must add ), I got another. Goes well on two Irvine 40's

ericrw
I've increased my Wanted advert to include the Blackhorse Commander Shrike. It's a smaller wingspan than the Twin Otter or Islander but it might increase my chances of getting my first twin motor, model aeroplane. IanN
Shoulder, rather than high, wing. VQ Models A26 Invader. 68 inch span, £160 from Slough
ericrw
From my adverts I've received only two positive offers ( plenty of scammers though;mainly from the BMFA site) but distance proved a problem. So I'm now thinking of a Kit to build ! Is there a Kit on the market ? Not neccesarily a scale model but one with a High wing, Twin motors and wingspan between 60" to 84". Over to you !! Dean
How about this Islander There is also a smaller 50" one here Dean Edited By Dean on 19/11/2012 14:26:
Phil 9
If you are able to build your own then you can get just what you want But kits are still few and far between . Plans are plenty some come with CNC packs but if not you can get one cut the watch out for hard to form cowls and molded parts if they are not available ( a radial engine twin may make things easyer)
