Nev Haycox
What kit is it your looking at? I guess it's an ARTF you've got your eye on. Edited By Racing Snake on 26/12/2012 13:46:
Codename-John
they probably produce lots of similarish models that may vary in build and/or flying quality, as Racing Snake says it helps if you tell us which model it is
Turbycat
I've had artfs from both maufacturers. Both seem well made and both flew well. Andy
Reno Racer
Both are very good and on a par with each other for the newer kits. There's probably not much in it really, both fly really well - the best flying plane i had was a Seagull Edge 540 V2 60 sized. The Seagull may be a bit strurdier than H9, but that depends on the kit. The later H9 stuff (my Corsair 50) is very well built with no flimsy open structure bits like, for example their Pulse XT40. I would say the only difference is price and parts availability, for most kits. There are differences in useability (i.e fiddleness of setting up at the field) between models such as the Piper Cub that both manufacturers sell, but the latest Christian Eagle that both offer I suspect will very similar, albeit it slightly different sized. We can probably add a bit more if we know which kit you're temepted by. Chris
Mac Duberia
i was actually thinking of the christen eagle. Mac
Reno Racer
Looking here I can't see much difference in specs really, less an £86 difference. good video here If it were me (and I've considered this same question) i'd get the Seagull. Reno Racer
I also condiered the Black Horse Pitts, just to add some more confusion
Mac Duberia
I quite like the look of the Christen Eagle so im staying with the eagle, also im planning to put a zenoah 23 in it .
Stephen Grigg
The Seagull Christian Eagle is a good kit,my instructor has one and it flies very well, but everything does he flies.
Nev Haycox
I had a good look at the Hangar 9 Christian Eagle at their stand at the Cosford LMS earlier in the year and was very impressed with what I saw. It has a wing transport frame allowing the removal of the wing without the need to remove the aileron linkage and the interplan strut between the top and bottom wings. Nev. Mac Duberia
Hi Guys and Gals, i've decided to go for the Hanger 9 version and placed an order for one, so hopefully i should get a big box at the end of the week. I've also been told that the zenoah G23 is an ideal power for the eagle so we wait and see. Mac.
