JC
Hi folks just a quick one. The instructions for the MPX Fun Jet Ultra call for negative differential, I just want to be sure that this means more down than up as I have not come across this before. Cheers JC Edited By JC on 24/03/2013 08:47:
Simon Chaddock
JC That is certainly the meaning I would put on 'negative differential' but it is very unusual as it would increase any adverse yaw and its not called adverse without good reason! Do the instruction give any sort of diagram of the effect they intend?
JC
Thanks Simon. No there is no diagram just instructions to set the throws to plus 8 and minus 11. Minus 11 seems a bit much to me. The Fun Jet is quick and I think it will only need very small movements of the control surfaces or it would be all but unflyable. Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
I don't remember ever coming across negative differential - even as a term! The Funjet has elevons doesn't it? If so could they be describing the additional throw required to ensure that you can get full aileron and full elevator effects at the same time?
