Phils
Hi Guys, Can anybody help me on this one please? I have quite a few Spektrum receivers (DSM2 & DSMX) and am looking to upgrade to the JR DSX11 (or so I thought). Having investigated and talked to club mates I was happy until I started seeing X11-ZERO advertised. I have looked to try and Identify the difference but am struggling. Anybody actually know the difference? I currently suspect it something to do with the modules available (DMSS?) Help guys.
Frank Skilbeck
It's all on MacGregors web site basically XG11 is integrated DMSS only DSX11 is integrated DSM2 only X11-Zero is modular, supplied with DSM2 module but will take 35mhz and DMSS moudles as well
Lee Smalley
go for the DSX11 my 11xzero has a pain in the butt feature that means every time you want to select a model memory you have to turn off the tx and then turn it back on again to transmit, its a real pain in the ahem! personally if i had the choice again i would go the JR route of DMSS not dsm2
Tomtom39
Just a quick note if you download the last firmware update from JR on the zero . You will not have the issue that Lee Smalley mentions. I have also bought the DMSS module for my Zero (it's not cheap!)
Lee Smalley
Wahhhh why don't mcgregor tell us this!! Damn it did not expect dmss stuff to be cheap but if I wanted cheap I would have bought orange stuff!! Bought jr as it has never let me down in 25 years
Tomtom39
Hello Lee, Only found out by accident after downloading update . I had just got used to all the pretty lights on the T/X and suddenly one had disappeared! I love my Zero and also use the 35mhz module as I still have plenty of JR receivers in models. Not too keen on the orange ones!
Phils
Hi guys, Many thanks for your input and hope I have inadvertently helped out slightly on the Zero issue. I am still likely to go for the DSX11 but at least I know more about the choice. Thanks again.

Tomtom39
Hello Lee.Very sorry to hear that. I am aware that another club member had a similar situation. He contacted Macgregors and they talked him through the problem. Think it was an issue with an unformatted SD card.
