Club member recently passed away and left this model for which his wife asked me if I would get airbourne, it's wing is complete and not shown in this picture but is more or less ready for radio gear, it even come with a hacker A20 motor fitted losely in the model nose and a hacker 7A speed controller which seems a little small to me? Motor spec shows 1080 rpm and speed controller suggest 3s setup, I thought a 1300mah would do for this 3 channel model?

Advice please !

Hi DW, I think it's a Big Lazy Bee by Clancy Aviation.

Have a look here for the plans:-

This doesn't answer your question about the motor etc. but the 40" wingspan model has a recommended 2 stroke engine of 0.049 to 0.15 which suggests an electric setup of between 100 and 250 watts (??), so a 7A ESC does seem to be too small.
