Steve_Wright
Got my hands on one off ebay cheap enough to be able to get some retracts aswell for less then the RRP of the kit Done nothing except look in the box so far. Got a slight chip in the cowl paint otherwise looks good. Retracts will be coming from ebay USA so will build with the (very sturdy looking) fixed cart for now. Need to get down to the LMS for some servos this week. Box states a .60 2st or 1.25 4st (!!?), seems a bit ott on the 4st front if a .60 2st will power it. Anyway have a .91 OS surpass I will try first off, if it struggles I will go 1.20 OS surpass (seems very light for a 1.20 to me) Edited By Steve_Wright on 14/05/2013 20:23:

Steve_Wright
looking at these retracts at the mo, need to measure up first to confirm they fit! **LINK**
Steve_Wright
Something is really bugging me about this model, the tail wheel! Looks like this: rather than: Just seems very lazy placing it where they have. Going to look it there is a way of fitting a more scale like wheel in the correct place, even if it doesn't retract. Paul Travis
See what you mean never noticed that before ! Just watched the video from horizon again to check . Yes doesn't look too good still buying one though now the wife gave her blessing ! costing me a new three piece suit and a holiday ,the joys. paul
Steve_Wright
Silly they go to the effort of installing a steerable tailwheel with a servo just above when it looks like it does. Need to finish up the Wot 4 so I have some bench space to start the build proper...

Tim Campling
I've very nearly finished mine. I'm really impressed with the build quality. I moved the tail wheel back one former, not too difficult. I just had to cut another access hatch behind the existing one and reinforce the last former to provide support. Can't seem to insert a picture but its on my album H9 BF 109.
Steve_Wright
Looks so much better, why didn't H9 do that in the first place? Mine is still packed away, no time spare at the mo
Tim Campling
It does seem odd, as the fix is simple. By the way, when you come to balance it be prepared. 11ozs in mine right behind the spinner!
Steve_Wright
Thanks for that! Have a 5 cell sub C battery pack going in mine so will fix it to the back of the bulkhead. What motor do you have in yours?

Tomtom39
Hello Tim, The revised rear wheel looks so much better . I'll be doing same as you have. Many thanks on that. I've sent you a PM - appreciate your help if you've had similar issue. I'm fitting the E-flite 60 into mine so will see how that performs. (Steve ignore my message - I will PM Tim) Shame about the lack of pilot in the kit!

Tomtom39
Has anyone electrified one of these? I'm having cooling issues with the battery.and would be interested to see what others have done .
Tim Campling
Hi tomtom, I've not been watching this thread and missed your post. Did you have a question? Ive had a good few flights now and I love it more each time.
Tomtom39
Hello Tim, Many thanks for your comment and picture. What running gear do you have in the model (I'm running the E-flite power 60 with an 80A esc - also e-flite and 6 S lipo). If yours has been converted , have you added any extra cooling? Tim Campling
Hi tomtom, mine is IC with a Saito 115 but bigger would not hurt. I think most of the leccy crowd is getting best results with a power 90. There is a good thread on RCGroups.com.
Tim Campling
The 90 is to avoid extra dead weight I think.
