Cirrus
Working away on business a lot at the moment in Gloucester. As a result I am missing out on flying when weather is perfect. Thinking about taking my Radian Pro with me but need somewhere to fly it on the sly one of the evenings. Not interested in joining a club as already a member of 2 local clubs. Any suggestions? Looking on google there is a lot of farm land available, but would prefer a recommendation of where I could launch the glider from without getting my ass kicked. cheers
Alan Pennington
Hi don't now of clubs in Gloucester as I live in France, but when I was a member of BMFA in the UK I did fly at other clubs as long as I had my licence and been checked out for flying. If it's changed then it's a shame for I think it all helps with the friendship of the hobby and thats what it is all about. Out here if you are a member of a club all ready you can go and fly at another club and you are well welcomed. I'm not a member of any club at the moment but go from time to time to my last club and I'm always being told off bring a model and fly if you want to. That's friendship for you out here. All the best in finding some place. Alan
Frank Skilbeck
Check out the SCSA web site **LINK** that lists all the soaring sites around Gloucester, I'm not a member but last week a few guys from our club made our way upto Selsey with our gliders and were made very welcome (thanks guys).
