Wheels forTony Nijhuis Typhoon (RCME special)

Can anybody tell me what size of wheels they have used in this project. I know they are 90mm but what thickness can you fit into the wings with the retracts.

Unless you use very narrow wheels, the wheel well wing rib will have to be reduced in depth to allow leg and wheel to sit flush on retraction.

So what width of wheel should I be looking for. No problem to reduce the well rib but would want to keep that to a minimum. ~Would 30mm be OK along with the leg which is about 10mm diameter. Would this still leave enough rib or do I need to look for something thinner.

Johnnie, checking from the plan I'd say, that without any alteration, the depth of the well - at the maximum point - is about 33mm, and at the shallowest point is about 30mm. That would have to hold the wheel, the leg and the thickness of the door. In the only other build blog I've found the writer does significantly deepen the well.

Sorry Johnnie I didn't mean to not answer - I somehow didn't notice your question to me. No I haven't looked at wheels yet. And I don't know what Tony used - but I believe they were 3.5 inch diameter. I'm planning to have a good look round at the Nats.
