  4. Being able to sympathise with Jon, having been there suffered that. It is always those willing to help and support others that end up carrying the load . He has always been exemplary in help and advise which he was not under any obligation to give. Go forward and do that which will give you satisfaction and enjoyment, enjoy life not suffer it. Best wishes for the future.
  5. Hi Bas Here are some photo's. Hardwood block let into tail too take screws.
  6. Basil the dowel will pivot off centre , I had to releave the fusalage longeron in order to get clearence and travel. As you say not the best engineered solution.
  7. Funny how producing shavings is very therapeutic 😊
  8. In my 162 12" jetex scaled up for 50mm fan I used the cockpit canopy as a battery hatch, a tonged at the front, small magnet a back to secure . Takes a 3s.
  9. Computers as they say Bull Droppings in Bull Droppings out 🙄
  10. Don't forget Miss Shilling's orifice, The lady resolved the negative g problem with the carburettor cutting in a bunt manouver👍
  11. If the hinges are set vertical in the ribs when folding the wing it will adopt the incidence angle of the wing, as the others have said pitch the hinge equivalent to the incidence or slightly greater to the vertical and it should fold parallel to fuz centre line. Excellent build so far shame to halt now👍
  12. Like the servo clips , purchased or printed?
  13. Hi Bas Photos of my cowl construction 1/4 ply for the rings, 1/32 ply sheet and balsa. Obviously for a I/c engine but can be altered for electric Alanp
  14. the One behind is a Martin Baker with the P on the fuselage. then possibly a Firebrand And a Brigand?
  15. I scaled up a jetex 12" span free flight and modified with elevator and aileron . worked out at 32" span with 50mm fan on 3s. Fan mounted at front of intake which was the base for scaling up to suit fan o/d. Again from outerzone

  17. Whilst the more experienced members may spot the errant posts, I agree with Matty.
  18. Thankyou Matty and Andy, as mine has a cowl built a lot lighter than the articles large lump of plywood battery position may be a lot different. Thankyou both for your replies👍
  19. Go to the RCM&E home page click on Plans, forward to page 6, bottom of page 6 is the build article and photo's of the model. Photo attached from the article showing complete model. I think size and position of the tail plane might have some bearing on CoG position.
  20. Looking for confirmation of the CofG position on a Scottish Aviation Pioneer by Chris Reid . Been built with slatted wing and fixed flaps, as built max chord at flaps is about 12". As can be seen slatted CofG is well forward. Would be grateful if someone can confirm position as shown on plan.
  21. Superb job on an iconic aircraft. 👍
