Steve McIntosh
Hi Guys, Just ordered myself one of these for my Xmas box, although I don't intend to fly it until next summer when I'm more experienced. In the meantime anybody got one and any recommendations to make for mods/improvements etc.

Kelly
Hi Steve, Looks nice,U/C a bit on the short side. Have a search on Youtube or other R/C forums to check it out. Lots of FW190 models on the market. Parkzone looks a good one if a bit expensive after factoring in the cost of retracts. **LINK**
john stones 1 - Moderator
never seen a bad fw 190 steve, fly great short u/c may be a good thing, scale size can be a bit too springy
Steve McIntosh
Agree about the U/C however our field can be a bit rough(sheep!) so am considering using U/C for take off and then belly land her. Change the prop to a 2 blade.
scott cuppello
I did a lot of the test flying on this one, it flies well. Ok, it does have a tendency to nose over on long grass, not much of an issue really except potentially the prop which, like the model....is very tough, I never broke one when testing, despite plenty of belly landings.....but then it's warmer there than here! In other words......grab a spare prop! If HK don't have them, RC-Castle or PW-RC almost certainly will (under Top RC Model FW 190).
Simon Chambers
It's affectionally known as the Tubby FW190 on the American Forums... Long thread on it here: **LINK** Si.
