Derek Stevenson
Can anyone help? I have a Sanwa RD6000 transmitter. The charge plug on the side is faulty and it needs to be replaced. I've contacted Ripmax but they will not supply part, they will only repair radio! Can anyone tell me where I can purchase the part I require? Danny Fenton
Any identification marks on the part Derek? have you tried to match it via radio spares, or even Maplin, there may be something similar?
Derek Stevenson
There are no identification marks on it. I did try Maplin unfortunately it is a different shape and won't fit.
Danny Fenton
Hi Derek, Did you try taking the charger lead to Maplin to see if they have a connector that will fit it? It doesn't have to mount exactly the same way on the Tx as the original? How much do Ripmax want to repair yours? Another alternative would be to just use a male and female mono mini jack connector and change the end of the charger lead for the male mini jack, and mount the female mini jack through the casing of the Tx. (It goes without saying that you must get the polarity right.
Derek Stevenson
Ripmax were looking around £30. I'm from Ireland postage on top of that. It's an expensive socket?
Danny Fenton
Yes, I see what you mean. I think I would modify the Tx to accept whatever plugs and sockets you can get. Good luck
Derek Stevenson
Not what you would call a friendly service to those who supported them in buying the product! I have tried some foreign suppliers hope to get better service / results there?
