Phil Taylor
Does anyone know where I can get hold of a compression spring about 25mm long x 4.5mm diameter that will take about 10 lb load. I am trying to make up some undercarriage legs and I have the inners and outers etc. but can't seem to find the right springs. I seem to remember reading at article in the RCM&E about doing just this sort of thing but can't find it in my back copies! Can anyone help please! Danny Fenton
Hi Phil,I bought a bag of assorted springs from EMA-Model supplies and there are some in there that may fit the bill 5mm x 30mm as well as some at 6mm x 40 amongst many others. The bag of 100 springs was £2.98 but you may be hit with a minimum shipping charge that will push the price up.http://www.ema-models.co.uk/shop/prodpages/page-SPRING-100.html
