John Privett
Thanks, RichFR. Sky+ set up! It's followed at 9:30 by Episode 6, though it looks like that's all full-size - no models.
John Privett
Well, how wrong can you be! Episode 6 started with a bit about R/C models. I'm sure it's been on quite recently too, and I remember commenting on it, either here or elsewhere. But at the risk of repeating myself.... It featured the late Roy Lever and his pulsejet-powered Vulcan. I must admit to chuckling when he described it as the only flying Vulcan - as the full-size ones "are finished and will never fly again". The programme dates back to 1999. flytilbroke
Yeah, he said you could not buy somethings without a licence too Wouldn't mind seeing it, the series, again though.
John Privett
Specifically, an "AB" licence! I was also intrigued by his teaching method. Not using a buddy-lead (ok, many don't) but rather than the pupil holding the transmitter and the instructor being ready to take over, Roy was holding the tx and the pupil was reaching round him to operate one of the sticks. Never seen it done that way before!
