David Ashby - Moderator
Apart from model flying, one of my other passions is hill walking and long distance walking and I'll be hitting the hills in the North Lakes again this summer. I've started slope soaring over the last couple of years so naturally wondered about popping a model in the car. Can anyone advise or point me in the right direction regarding slope sites? I know I could pop something lightweight in the car and just find a cliff or higher ground but I'd prefer to find a site where, perhaps, there's a chance of saying hello to other flyers. PatMc
I've been to a couple of the the NLSA Fly-ins many years ago. Can't remember the names of any sites now except Bewaldeth which is very near Basenthwaite lake. Here's a link to the association that contains some contact details.
