I think the 9mm carb throat on a 40 gives the game away, though I think the real powerhouses were the rear inlet models. Where it will be at a significant disadvantage compared to modern engines is that it will be timed for around 15k rpm running on 10*6 or smaller props - noise wasn't such an issue 40 years ago.
