Daithi O Buitigh Posted September 21, 2014 Share Posted September 21, 2014 The actual aerial is very short and a fixed size - what you are seeing is the length of very fine co-axial cable from the receiver to the actual aerial. Shaunie Posted September 21, 2014 Share Posted September 21, 2014 The advantage is that the Rx can be buried in the fuselage of something made of say, carbon fibre and you can choose the length of feeder you require to get the aerial outside the airframe.
