Simon Hall 2
Just wondering whether anyone uses gloves and if so, which ones are good that still give you a feel for the sticks? I am not too fussed myself, but my young son has already started whinging about cold hands! Both my son and I use thumb controls on the sticks, not pinchers. We fly in fairly low wind conditions due to type of plane.

Graham Bowers
I use fleece gloves. I cut the thumbs on the gloves so I can poke the last joint of the thumbs on my hands out. Graham
brfc7
I've got a thick pair of thinsulate gloves that I cut roughly 8mm holes in to each thumb, just enough to push the stick through as I fly thumbs only This was done as I mainly used them when slope soaring so some flights can be 30 mins plus. If I only needed them for power flying at the field I would just do as Ken says above and cut the thumb ends right off or at least cut along the bottom and leave attached at the top so can hinge up and poke thumb out. baz Edited By brfc7 on 16/10/2014 17:56:
fly boy3
Hi Simon, I agree with all the above posts, but would also use a neck strap for added safety when holding the Tx. Cheers
Phil 9
I have often considered a TX glove but thought it might be a little clumsy. Am I wrong about that?
Chris Barlow
I use a TX mitt. Put the TX and both hands inside & it soon warms up toastie, keeps out the wind and feels nice & fluffy!
