Bugbear Posted November 22, 2014 Share Posted November 22, 2014 I'm currently building a West Wings Fournier and have hit a snag with fitting a folding prop - it catches on the dummy engine pods either side of the fuselage. Pete B Posted November 22, 2014 Share Posted November 22, 2014 It's not an issue I've encountered with mine in practice, Bugbear. Whilst the prop does contact the pods when folded, startup just throws them outwards and I've never had any motor stalling occur. I have a 32mm spinner like this on mine - your motor may have a different shaft diameter. Perhaps the extended blade bolts solve the problem? Dave Bran Posted November 22, 2014 Share Posted November 22, 2014 You could blenderm tape a piece of transparent material (vacuum packing, etc) as a deflector from Fus out to cylinders rotation side so that the prop blade cannot catch and if it works out for you remove it??
