Ross Clarkson
I can only really comment on the Calmato as I have only owned that one. What I can say is that it turned me from a below average flyer to a much more confident and technical flyer, Its a doddle to fly but it taught me how to fly an aircraft/model properly. One of the best models iv'e owned by far. Also, its large.
Max50
I've got the calmato alpha 40 on an SC46. Assembles very easily; everything is practically done for you. It flies well, and lands perfectly every time. The undercarriage where the wire goes into the wing opens out with wear after a few landings, and with the orange colour one, the wing visibly disappears on turns though , if you take it too far out.One of my club mates bought the 60 but wished he had the 40. ( thought it was a bit too big for him ).A club mate said the Travel Air was a good flyer as well, but you do have to watch the covering. I had a Super Air and was prone to travel rash, if you didn't watch it.
