Hi all at RCM&E, could i suggest a review of the Piper Cub sold by Galaxy models for less than £50.00.

It is a superb bit of kit, it needs to be reviewed in the mag, not often you get such a good model ( instuctions are poor) for so little money.

Please, check it out.

Chris.

This one?

i was looking at buying one not so long ago

Hi Jonathan, yep thats the one, it really is as good as the advert.

I bought one for my little saito .40 four stroke as i had a Flair cub years ago with the previous version of the Saito in, if flew really well unfortunatly i could not get a Flair one so bought one of these, Get one, you will not be dis-appointed !!!

Regards

Chris.

erm -sorry, what is the point of this system? Its vitual reality but controlling something real. surely this is just a computer game but a step too far? I thought the point of r/c flying was controlling something remotely. Also, having your eyes covered by those goggles is a bit of a safety risk; you can't look around you to see whats going on with other aicraft. Besides, you'd look a bit of a twit at the field wearing all that equipment all over your head.

Wow!  This looks amazing!

I always wondered about this but only got as far as the FlyCamOne stuff.  This is certainly the next level!  I wonder how big the extra gear is though - would it fit in my Electric UHU?

Those videos are very impressive, and I've found more on YouTube.  Evidently these guys can Pan and Tilt the cameras by moving their heads on the ground!

I also came across a device that overlays GPS data/ battery data onto the video such as height, direction home, battery left, etc. awesome!

All they need next is airsoft strapped to the front and we can have proper air combat!!

Check out this video on Vimeo: http://www.vimeo.com/944802

I can see the attraction and it gives one the ability to fly where you couldn't from the normal fixed position, if you see what I mean. There's a video in our You Tube front page gallery where this lad is flying between sky scrapers and the model is out of the normal visual line of sight at times.

The cameras are very light, lighter than a FlyCamOne unit in fact Mark. As you say, proper air combat!
