Katie, do you fly model aeroplanes? Chris -
Sorry, meant to say, flight leader are known to be a bit "iffy", take them back and get a Ripmax replacement
-
Take them back and ask for a refund, they are faulty. Chris

The Barrie Lever Warrior, and the Preceptor? Preceptor was a semi'ish kit, but flew well. Anyone got a Warrior kit for sale? Regards Chris
-
You can also use " Black to black" silicone spray, used to make fenders look new !! a quick spray in the fuel container will work. Regards Chris.

Hi all, i do not own the Spitty, but was just interested in how the airframe was covered? Thanks all Chris

BRC, good but needs a bit of customer service attention SMC good , but delivery times not good Galaxy, best there is, you get a proper nice polite person on the 'phone. Inwoods Crap, i will never use them again. Gosport Model Shop, you get spoken to like you are simple ( this is when they can be bothered to talk to you ) You ask for something and it literally gets thrown on the counter Having a fag and talking to the mate in the chair is more important than a sale, these people have more money than sense, obviously do not need customers. Did you contact Dave ? did you get is sorted? Chris C

Hi, What prop are you using ? What fuel are you using, anything from straight castor to 10% nitro will be fine. Let us know then we can go from there. Chris C
-
Hi Ted, put a couple of squirts of Armor All vinyl cleaner in the fuel, it will stop the fuel foaming and stop the lean run causing the engine dead sticks. Chris C

Hi all, i have a field literally 30 seconds away, which is good for the smaller aircraft ( .40 size) . Used to be a lot better but the local council decided to build a BMX track on is so now it is restricted somewhat! I did join PADMAC this year, the flying field is 13 miles away, really nice flying site but the weather, work, commitments seem to have all conspired against me so not actually flown there yet. Wonder if i will get a reduction in club fees next year?????? Chris.C -
Years ago we used to attach the engine to the mount with elastic bands !!!!! Nowadays, self tappers are fine or drill a clearance hole and use bolts with ny-locks. Chris.

Give Dave Turner a shout on the RCMF forum, he might be able to help. Chris

Hi all, looking at the prop, it looks like a 4 x3 if it was a glow prop., I have to re-think the setup as the esc blew out all of the magic smoke on the last run, getting expensive this electric flight lark !!! Getting really confused now, i was told that the motor i have is ideal for D/F , not for direct drive, so surely if i use a fan then the motor will be pulling a lot more amps than a little prop? Confused again Chris

I was bought an Alley Cat look a like for Fathers day, nice little aeroplane, it was just the bare airframe, ie, no motor, speed controller, nothing. It is the prop version, prop's supplied. So i bought a 3200kv out runner, ( as per the instructions) 35 amp brushless speed controller, 1350 3s li-po pack. All assembled, i get just about one minute's run time and the li-po is hot, the bec cuts in , i have charged the pack using a balance charger but still only get just over one minute run time !!!! Help!!!!! Chris.c

No model shops around any more!
Chris Channon replied to Alex Hasell's topic in All Things Model Flying
Hi Alex, yep you can use 16%, a bit overkill but it will run ok on it. Just tune a tad , and i mean a click or so richer. Regards Chris. -
Lets hope it is better than the Pitts !!!, really over rated, li-po pack supplied does not anywhere near fit the hatch, tail heavy, really poor aeroplane for the money. Matt, you have an Art-tech Corsair, what about a quick review of the kit and build? Take care Chris.
-
Hi David, The review of the Cub from Galaxy models is nearly all done ( what a good kit, ARTF with a bit of building) Just waiting for flying weather to take piccy's. Regards Chris

Cheers Rob, yes it is very white !! Just painted mine yellow , red , and blue any ideas what to seal the acrylic paint with? Thanks Chris
