dan c 1
Hello all.Can anyone advise if charging these nano quads with 150mah lipos on an android USB wall charger is fine for the battery? It says use the PC USB which is standard 500ma ?? My wall charger is 1.35a. Any advice appreciated. Just saves my firing up the laptop every hour for the child's. But don't want to kill said battery. Gary Manuel
I've used a wall USB charger to charge my nano quads OK. The charger just provides a 5 volt supply, same as your PC would. You will be fine
eflightray
Usually there is a small charging interface between the supply, (5v, computer USB, etc), that ensures the correct current and correct voltage cut-off. I would not connect any Lipo to a 5v or USB output without some monitoring device.
Gary Manuel
Nano quads are designed to use the 5v USB supply. The nano quad itself has the interface, including charging light and cut-off. The Lipo is not connected directly to the 5v supply. Your wall charger just has more current capacity than the standard PC USB port. It won't use any where near its 1.35A capacity. It will be fine.
