stuey
Hi chaps. I picked up a DX6i TX as a back up from a club mate a while ago. It wasnt until later that I noticed the rudder rate switch is damaged and needs replacing. I can change it out ok, but was wondering if anyone has a source for a replacement switch? I could pop it down to Maplins but I never seem to have much luck in there.
Chris Bott - Moderator
Stuey I'd give Horizon a call, many times in the past they have supplied this sort of thing at little or no charge. Worth a try at least.
Pete B
Yes, HH have been known to pop one in the post..... Pete
GrahamC
Good call. You will find that anything you get from Maplin [and you will be able to get something very similar] will have a metric thread for the collet, and the Horizon ones are imperial as its an American company. So I'd call them.
Phil Green
I bought a DX5e, it was cheap because the trainer switch was broken. Called HH and they sent me 2 switches by return, no charge. They were used ones, still had the clipped wire stubs attached, but that didnt bother me. Cheers Phil

avtur
If you don't have any luck with HH you will find a suitable switch at Maplins ... I bought one a couple of weeks ago to carry out a very similar repair to my DX6i. The only minor down side is that I had to use the nut supplied with the replacement switch which isn't quite as neat as the original. To be honest I didn't even think of calling HH, hope that works for you, if not Maplins can help.
stuey
I managed to get through to the service dept after quite a few attempts. They are sending me a new switch for the pleasure of £4.20. Guess things have changed down there compared to my previous experiences.
