Ross Clarkson
Does anybody on here fly the Blade 180 CFX with a DX7? Having a couple of issues setting up, common problems I believe, and just want to get them right before I try and start it up. Can I bind before I set the advanced settings on the Tx or do they need doing first?
Frank Skilbeck
I don't have that combination, but do have a Blade 300x with a Dx6i, you can do either. What i would recommend is that you take the main rotor blades off while setting it up or binding it for the first time. On your other post you note concern of preventing the rotors starting up when you plug the battery in, my Dx6i beeps at me if I have the advanced flight mode (i.e. negative pitch at low throttle stick position and throttle doesn't go to idle just 50% at mid position) when I switch on. But I'm pretty sure the ESC will not arm until it has seen a 0% throttle position, but as above check all this out without the main rotors attached. Ross Clarkson
Thanks Frank. The manual says 0% or INH on Expo. Do you fly with Expo and recommend dialing some in? Edited By Ross Clarkson on 13/04/2015 10:41:
Frank Skilbeck
Ross, I do use some Expo, but thats because I'm a fairly novice heli pilot, I can fly circuits, hover around, stall turns etc I've done a couple of back flips with my Blade 130, but inverted flying etc ohhh er........ I suspect the expert pilots would scorn my use of expo
