F10j Mode 1

Hi all , am just about to order a Futaba 10J Tx but cannot find out if it is supplied as Mode 1 or 2 and if it changeable? I have done all my Futaba transmitters no problem in the past but a google search talks about swapping the spring for the ratchet and a recalibration. Anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks

I have not done a 10 j but the 8 was easy enough and no change of calibration/ centring was required. If you have done mode changes before on other kits you can ignore the bit in the manual about needing it to be done at a service centre. It's the easiest mechanical mode change I have ever done. Lovely transmitter to use but disappointingly cheap plastic feel

TBH they all feel cheap and plasticky these days i think. My Zap weighs a ton and is beautifully built but it's worn out now and it won't balance properly with a 2.4g module and neck strap. I'm not expecting any TX to match it in that repect.

Fortunately Slough Models phoned and asked if I wanted Mode 1 or 2 as they had both in stock!
